Can you guys believe that today is the last day of the year?! This year had some pretty difficult times for me, unexpectedly. But that is a topic for a different time. Today I want to focus on all the things that made this year amazing. Scroll to the bottom for a few pictures of my favorite moments from 2017. 50 Highlights of 2017
- Having warm home to live in.
- Getting to spend a whole year with Zander, such a privilege.
- Seeing Zoey turn four, and watching her personality grow and blossom. There is no one quite like Zoey.
- Considering where to move next and planning for when Kris has a real job. I LOVE house hunting.
- Discovering Florida and getting to visit there three times!!
- Growing my blog/business in huge, and unexpected ways – much thanks to a very encouraging and supportive friend, Summer!
- Speaking of blogger friends – I found an amazing group of blogger babes who totally get me like nobody else, which was a huge highlight of the year.
- Dying my hair brown!
- Kris finishing his 3rd year of medical school and starting his FINAL year!!!
- Watching my children laugh together was one of the best things this year.
- Buying a hot tub… Best purchase ever!
- Growing closer to Kris through more difficult times this year.
- Realizing all over again how lucky I am to live with my best friends 🙂
- Our fireplace! Mmmmmm…. SO cozy.
- Discovering that Zander loves dancing as much as Zoey.
- Visiting Disney World for the first time.
- Staying in New York for a month!
- My parents finally buying a home – in St. George! It is easier for me to visit them now that they actually live somewhere…
- Staying at Gurney’s Montauk 😍😍
- Realizing I am strong enough to have another baby, I might be able to have my dream of a large family one day (post about that coming very soon).
- Getting a new desk!!! Why is working so much more fun when my work space is pretty??
- Being able to make enough money to support my family and then some, all from home, doing something I love!
- Finding out that any chapped lips can be cured within a day if you keep lathering on TONS of vaseline. I HATE chapped lips!
- Hiring my first real ’employee’ to help me handle social media. Laura, you are incredible!
- Getting to have my little brother come visit and introduce me to his new, gorgeous wife. She is also named Rachel (spelled different) and I am proud to have her be the next Rachel Leavitt 😜🤗.
- Zander’s hair… Need I say more???
- Finding myself a live in nanny/personal assistant! You guys will get to meet her in March if everything goes through. Can’t wait!!
- Taking family pictures with Kari <3.
- Discovering the joy of sit down family dinners. Still a hard habit for us, but it was nice to realize how nice they are.
- Getting to have a friend come visit and stay with me when I was lonely because Kris was away, miss you Kara! Come again any time!
- Turning 26 and not being 25 anymore is a highlight, because 25 is awful. Here’s why.
- Getting a Boscovs in Erie😍😍. I thought I would hate this store, but I love it!
- Playing at Waldameer waterpark all summer, and actually convincing some of our friends to get passes too. Finally!
- Getting to ride the rides since I am NOT pregnant!
- Playing at Presque Isle all summer long, since we didn’t leave for the summer this year 🙂
- Visiting my family in St. George!
- Spend time with the best friends ever here in Erie.
- Creating my first lifestyle video ad and realizing how fun it was to do!
- Buying bikes and biking around Presque Isle with the family.
- Buying a new lens for my camera!
- Finding Treasure Island!!
- Discovering Busch Gardens!!!!!!!
- Visiting Niagara Falls (three times??).
- Watching Zoey and Zander become better friends each day.
- Learning how to play a few songs on the guitar.
- Being able to buy cute girl AND boy clothes, now that I have one of each!
- Watching Zoey and my youngest brother Nate become the best of friends in the world.
- Enjoying all the Christmas shopping for my kiddies!! Love Christmas shopping.
- Getting to spend a whole year with my husband and best friend, Kris.
- Learned to live life with more gratitude.
Over all it was an incredible year. And one I am very grateful for!
