I just found these lost pictures from May that I totally meant to share on my blog! Better late than never. Zoey has a habit of remembering the most expensive things we do, and begging to do them over and over. Like flying to Hawaii, or Florida. One of her favorite things, back when we took these photos, was going to hotels. She would randomly pack a bag and say, “Ok guys! Let’s go to the hotel!! And swim in the pool!”
After a few days in a row of her asking this, I realized that we didn’t need to go on an expensive vacation to stay in a hotel. We could do it right in Erie. We found the most beautiful hotel ever, right on the lake. I worked it into the budget of one of my upcoming sponsorships, and booked a night on the water for me and my babes.
Kris was too busy with rotations and studying for boards to stay the whole time. But he took a couple hours in the evening to come play in the pool before heading home for the night. This is one of the few blog posts that I have with him in the pictures! He is so sweet to always take pictures for me, and never really cares if he is in them or not. I couldn’t resist snapping some candids of him, Zander and Zoey playing in the water together though. They are too cute and I love seeing them laugh and splash together.
Also, I just noticed that Zander hasn’t aged much in the last two months, since these pictures were taken, which I love. When I look at his newborn pictures it makes me cry to see how much he has grown and how different he looks now! I adore him and the stage he is in now. But honestly, my heart aches for those newborn days to have lasted just a little bit longer. There is something so tender about that age, when they still aren’t fully awake, and all they need is to be held and loved.
Now he is the cutest little crawling machine, with a mission to find and empty every bin and cupboard in the house. Where does the time go?!
