Today I will be sharing with you all some absolutely stunning piano music by a very good friend of mine. His name is Josh Burton and his album is called Sketches. Each of his songs has a story, and I have never heard piano music that is as expressive as his.
They say that the human voice has the greatest capacity to vibrate the emotions of the soul, but I think Josh Burton’s music rivals this theory. You cannot help but feel the passion in each note that he writes. His music sucks you in and forces you to feel the emotion involved in its composition.
Josh Burton grew up in Cardston, Alberta and started writing music when he was 13. Up to that point he had been a normal kid who avoided practice. He was inspired when he heard a song by Chopin. At that point he said he decided he wanted to make music his life, and so he did. He would often practice till he could not practice anymore.
The results of his constant practicing and composing paid off, which you will be able to see as you listen to his heartfelt compositions from his album. My favorite song that he has written is called Rising – you can watch it in the youtube I included below, or listen by clicking here.
