We LOVE ‘making recipes’ – as Zoey says it. I always see those ‘tasty made’ videos on Facebook and save the good ones to try later with Zoey. I should say she likes making food with me, until one of the ingredients is really yummy. Then all she wants to do is sit there and taste things. She got a little distracted by the caramel sauce in this recipe and spent most her time dipping and licking her finger… 🙄💗
This apple pie cookie recipe was one of those recipes. They were not NEARLY as easy to make as they looked in the video I saved. Anyway they were delicious so I thought I would share this recipe so we can remember it for future use. Hope someone else likes it too!
Apple Pie Cookies Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Apples
1 Package of Pie Dough
1/2 Cup Caramel Sauce
1 Egg White
Some Cinnamon
Directions:
- Get a carrot grater and grate the apples.
- Split the pie dough in half. Roll half of it out and cut it out into circles.
- Spread a little caramel sauce on each circle.
- Put about a tablespoon of grated apple on top of the caramel on each circle.
- Roll out the other half of the dough and cut it into thin strips.
- Create little woven pie tops over each pile of apples.
- Paint a little egg white on top of each cookie and sprinkle some cinnamon on top of each one.
- Cook for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
They took about half hour to make and were super duper yummy! Crispy outside – soft, gooey and sweet inside. Perfect combo💛.
