Everyone needs a day at the spa, even babies – no – especially babies. I mean, think of how exhausting it must be to be a baby. Have you seen the way they run circles for no reason? Or how they jump up and down, roll on the ground and do summersaults even when it is well past bedtime? Their list of daily chores is endless. They are in charge of emptying every drawer, shelf and bucket within reach and then right when they finish you pick everything up and they have to start all over again. They are the ones who have to decorate the walls with crayons, they are the ones who have to open the fridge and empty the contents, they have to take one bite out of every fruit in the fruit bowl and then they have to unfold all the laundry faster than you can fold it. To make their job list worse you (their parent) follow them around almost constantly, trying to stop them from doing ‘their job’. Wow. I am tired just thinking of how exhausting toddler life is.

So next time you think how hard it is to be a parent, just put yourself in your babies shoes. You will realize that they really deserve a day at the baby spa. Or maybe you will just realize that if you give them a day at the spa you will be able to distract them from accomplishing their job for just a few extra hours.

How To Set Up Your Own Baby Spa

  1. Get a bucket that your baby fits in.
  2. Fill it up with warm water and bubbly, bubble bath.
  3. Make sure you have a towel on hand, splashing is NOT optional at the baby spa.
  4. Grab your Malibu Blondes shampoo and conditioner because it is 100% vegan and has totally kid friendly ingredients.
  5. Treat your toddler to the spa they deserve!

Joking aside, Zoey refused to get out of this bucket for about an hour. Seriously, she had the wrinkliest little toes when she did finally get out. I am not sure why she loved it so much – it was the perfect size with not a lot of wiggle room. I set her up in the kitchen and was able to wash dishes while she played with bubbles. It was a bonus that she wasn’t running around messing while she was in the bucket bubble bath, but the best thing about it was how much she loved her day at the baby spa.

Anyone else feeling like they deserve a day at the spa?
