If you don’t know that I LOVE shopping, you probably don’t know me that well. Shopping is pretty much one of my favorite past times đđđź. My bank account wishes I were joking. When I heard we had a new store opening up in our mall here in Erie, I had to be the first one to check it out! I have never been shopping at Boscovs before, and they are taking up quite a large space in our mall, so I was really curious to see what they had to offer.
On our Erie mall website I discovered the Boscovs in Erie was opening October 7th, with a ton of grand opening celebrations and sales. Debbie Boone was there to cut the ribbon, they had a band, dancers and an antique car parade! Obviously, we had to go. We got tickets to the opening ceremony so we could be one of the first people ever to shop at Boscovs in Erie! We went right when the grand opening began so we could watch the ribbon cutting. They gave donations to over 100 charities in Erie as part of the ribbon cutting ceremony. I absolutely love the Boscovs is supporting our community. On their first day open they are already making Erie a better place.
Once we got inside the store the real fun started. Zoey found a giraffe that she is obsessed with, and I found new fall clothes for all of us! Like I said, I have never been in Boscovs before, so I didn’t know what to expect. I was happily surprised with their selection of clothes, and especially their PRICES! I got cute tops for as little as $10, all nice brands like Zac & Rachel. Most of the tops I got were $50+ at other stores! My shopping bag was as big as me (not joking) and it only cost $200.
I’ve been wanting to do some more fall fashion focused posts for you guys, so it was fun to pick out a bunch of new outfits. I got this top, which I LOVE and can’t wait to style for a blog post. I also a bunch of cute new denims for fall. These jeans I grabbed were only $17.99, same with this pair. For Zoey I got the cutest little sweaters, this one and this one. For Zander I got a little plaid top with denims and suspenders, similar to this one! I can’t wait to dress him up in it.
It was really hard to settle on just buying clothes during this shopping trip. We have been looking out for a new sofa for our living room, and there were a ton of those! I also need a new desk!! I’ve been working from my kitchen table for months. I had to get rid of my old desk. It was kind of falling apart… I don’t mind working at the table, but it means every time we sit down for a meal I have to move all my work stuff somewhere else. It would be nice to have my own space. I may just be back to Boscovs soon for a new desk, because they had a great selection of those. With Christmas coming up soon I think I will be back shopping for gifts too. The most unexpected thing we found in Boscovs was a candy and fudge counter upstairs, there was every flavor of fudge you can imagine! It is made fresh in the store, the whole upstairs level smelled heavenly…
You can find almost everything you need at Boscovs for really inexpensive. I love that it is conveniently located right in the Erie mall. It was so fun attending the opening ceremony and listening to the history of Boscovs. They are a family owned business that has been open for over 100 years. Boscovs is really involved in the community wherever they open stores, and they showed that with all the donations to different charities in Erie. They also created over 300 new jobs in Erie which is fantastic. The employees were so friendly and helpful and honestly I can’t wait to go back and shop again!
