Date Night By The Water

A couple weeks ago I swung my diaper bag over my shoulder and the weight of it threw me off balance. I am not joking, I had to take three steps backwards to keep from falling over on to my butt. Please tell me I am not the only one who is less than graceful in a pair of heels???

I can’t count how many times I have cursed myself for wearing heels to church while trying to balance a diaper bag, an activity bag, my purse, a toddler and a baby. Not to mention all the things that come out during the meeting and have to be lugged around from classroom to classroom, blankets, toys, coloring books, shoes that Zoey didn’t want to wear, etc. It feels the same way when I go out to the mall or the zoo or the playground and have chosen to wear a less than comfortable pair of shoes for the sake of looking stylish. We’ve all heard the saying that pain is the price of beauty… But sometimes those heels just don’t seem worth the price.

You know what I am talking about, right moms??? Well lucky for me (and you) last week I found a pair of heels that is solving all my problems. I have heard that Rockport shoes are known for comfort when it comes to mens shoes. I had NO idea that they made heels that are meant to be worn all day long without causing you pain.

I wore my heels all day long to give them a test run. Usually I get blisters the first day wearing heels. Not with these babies! I could comfortably run in these heels. RUN. It wouldn’t be fair to share all the details of this amazing shoe for moms on the go without mentioning something for dads. My hubby spends more than 12 hours a day on his feet at the hospital training to become a doctor. It is interesting work, but exhausting. The thing that is the hardest for him is sore feet.

It was actually him who initially introduced me to Rockports when he was researching comfortable shoes for work. Up to this point my husband hadn’t found any comfortable shoes that seemed to fit his taste. All the comfortable shoes he could find had somewhat of a ‘dad shoe’ vibe.
