Every single morning, for years, I wake up and make the same mistake. Over and over again. I skip breakfast! For some people this isn’t a big deal, but for me breakfast is necessary for survival. Especially since becoming a mama. If I don’t get a good meal in the morning I am always sick by the afternoon. Kris teases me about it. I inevitably make it to around 1pm and complain that I am going to pass out because I haven’t eaten anything and I’m starving… and then I do the same thing again the next day. He laughs because I do it over and over, but it is hard to find time to make meals as a busy working mama! And ya know, a bowl of cold cereal just doesn’t do much for me.
Most traditional easy breakfast options aren’t very filling, and they are packed with sugar and fat! Freezer waffles, most cold cereals, muffins, etc., they are all a no go for me. So the other day while I was shopping at Target I had the brilliant idea to search for easy to make, healthy freezer meals for breakfast. I wanted something way healthier than waffles, and more substantial than a bowl of cereal.
Enter, Sweet Earth.
I found Sweet Earth in the freezer at Target and was instantly intrigued, after I tasted them I reached out to them about a potential partnership. They were excited to send me a delicious variety of healthy freezer meals to make my busy mama life a little easier. Sweet Earth is vegetarian and vegan, and they use organic, GMO free and natural ingredients. They also use vegetable proteins to create meat like flavors and textures, and filling balanced meals that provide the health and goodness of plant based diet.
My favorite flavor right now is the Get Focused breakfast burrito. It is packed with kale, green peas and flaxseeds. Also, I am in love with the Vegan Get Cultured Burrito, a tofu scramble mixed with edamame, carrots and spinach. Zander can’t resist the Get Cultured burrito either, just scroll down a little farther to see his face when he takes a bite. It cracks me up! He looks disgusted, but he just keeps eating it every time like it is too good to stop. Zoey’s favorite is the Protein Lovers burrito, she is convinced it is chicken (it isn’t) and it is one of the few meals that I have seen her finish in one sitting.
I love Sweet Earth Breakfast Burritos. They have changed my life!! Ok, yes, I am being a little dramatic. But in all seriousness, they are amazing. It makes a huge difference when I start out my day right with a healthy meal that fills me up. Sweet Earth has given me the best of both worlds by saving me time and keeping me fed. Every Sweet Earth Burrito is packed with ingredients you can feel really good about putting in your body. The best part is they only take a couple minutes to heat and then eat on the go.What is better than a delicious, healthy and convenient meal!?
My Sweet Earth obsession doesn’t stop at breakfast. I love discovering delicious vegetarian food that I don’t have to cook for myself. So I went back to the store to see what other meals they had. I was happily surprised to find a huge variety of dinner burritos as well (I loooove burritos). If you are going to get just one, definitely go for the Greek! They also create delicious artisan bowls for dinner. My freezer is currently packed with a Sweet Earth meals. I have lasagna, curry, enchilada’s, stir fry and more. They offer so much variety. Starting off my day with a good healthy meal makes a big difference in what kind of day I have!
