We have lived near Pittsburgh for over a year now and we still have not really explored it so this last weekend we decided to make a Pittsburgh day happen. Our first stop was a spot overlooking the city skyline, the river and the beautiful yellow bridges that Pittsburgh is known for. It was stunning…

The weather has been kind of back and forth, but this week was a little warmer. It was definitely sweater weather, so I wore my new cardigan I just got from Shop Impressions. It is the softest, coziest thing I own. I keep envisioning how cool it would look to wear it outside on a snow day, seeing as it looks like snow… Is that weird to try and match your outfit to nature? I am kind of obsessing over Shop Impressions lately. They have all the latest trends with their own unique, stylistic flare. I wore one of their dresses the other day in this post.

After the view we drove around town and checked out the University of Pittsburgh campus, which was HUGE and gorgeous. I wanted to explore more, but we had to make a Costco run. I guess we will have to do another Pittsburgh day soon.

Oh, I forgot to mention! To get up to the view you take this little train car that goes up a really steep incline. Apparently it was built in 1897 (or 79’… can’t remember for sure). It brings you right up to the view. OH MY GOSH. I don’t think it was supposed to be scary because everyone else was calm, but I was almost hyperventilating… I am not a huge fan creaky, hundred year old, train cars, going up super steep, cliff-like, hillsides. But if you are normal you will probably love it.

PS. I used my brand new, Olympus PEN E-PL7 for half of these photos. It is like a professional DSLR camera, but tiny, and you can flip the screen around and take selfies with it (way better selfies than you can take with your phone I might add)! If you start at the beginning of the post every second photo is taken with my new Olympus.

    1. We love exploring new places! We actually stayed in Chicago this summer at the ACMA Hotel Chicago right down town and had SO much fun. It is such a beautiful city.
