My sister is so hard to find a Christmas present for! Any time I ask her what she wants she says, “nothing!” Which is really sweet, but makes it very difficult to actually know what to get. This year I came up with the perfect idea and I think she is going to love it. I was strolling around Walmart, which I do pretty often since it is Zoey’s favorite place to be. She loves the toys and the section with the fish tanks. Anyways, we were wandering around and came upon this isle full of random Christmas gift sets and this one caught my eye. It is the Beyonce Rise perfume set. It comes with a bottle of perfume, shower gel and some lotion. I took a picture so I could remember where to find it next time I go (I need to get a second box to give to myself for Christmas).
It instantly gave me an idea for the perfect present themed around this bottle of perfume. I like to base gifts of a certain theme and I thought I would center this gift around the perfume scent. The Beyonce Rise perfume has the sweet scent of apricot, jasmine and bergamot. For me these scents are cozy, warm and comforting so I thought I would do a ‘spoil yourself’ gift. I grabbed a scrub glove, pumice stone, brush and a wooden massage roller as well as a cute little wooden box all from Walmart.
When I got home I pulled the Beyonce Rise fragrance, shower gel and lotion out of the box and arranged everything into the wooden box. I put a giant gold bow on it and wah-la! My sisters gift is ready. The holidays can be so hectic. Using a Coty Holiday Gift set to put this gift together so easily was a dream. Now I just have to make sure my sister doesn’t read this blog post before Christmas.
The thing I love most about giving someone fragrance for Christmas is that scent has the power to bring back memories in a more potent way than almost any other sense. For example when I smell a certain type of Vanilla it reminds me instantly of a polly pocket set I had as a girl that had a vanilla scent. I want my sister to smell this scent and remember all the fun family memories Christmas brings. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year and I think this year will be a little extra unforgettable.
