How To Audition For The Voice Open Call Auditions

Did you already make it to The Voice Callback Auditions?? This post is about auditioning for The Voice Open Call Auditions, head HERE for tips on preparing for The Voice Callback Auditions.

Auditioning for The Voice Open Call Auditions sounds intimidating, but the process is so easy, anyone can do it. Just follow the four steps below and you will be all set to go. I also shares some tips and guidelines for auditioning at the end based on my personal experience auditioning for The Voice at the open call auditions.

1. Sign Up For An Artist Account Here

You cannot audition for The Voice unless you have registered for an account! Once your account is confirmed you will be able to customize your artist profile and choose where and when you want to audition.

2. Choose An Audition City

Once you have set up an artist account you will be able to select a city, date and time group of your choice. Make sure you only attend during the time you selected, you will not be allowed to audition at other times and dates without being registered for them.

3. Print Your Artist Audition Pass

One week before the audition you will get an email with your pass. You have to print and bring it with you to the audition, you also have to bring photo ID! Make sure you have both of these or you won’t be allowed to audition!

4. Audition!!

The final step of course is to go to your audition! Make sure you arrive early. Bring food, water and a book or something to pass the time.

Extra Tips & Guidelines:

  • Prepare at least two songs, and make sure they are ones that show off your voice right away.
  • The judge probably won’t watch you while you audition, they want to know what you will sound like in a blind audition, so just know they aren’t ignoring you.
  • Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. There are THOUSANDS of people auditioning. You could be the one, but remember situations like this are based more on luck than talent. Don’t get your hopes to high and remember there is always next year.
  • Don’t be the person belting at the top of their lungs in the lineup. It is ok to do some vocal exercises while you wait, but nobody enjoys that person who you can hear singing scales a mile away.
  • Make friends in the line! You can’t bring anyone in with you so if you need to leave the line to run to the restroom or something it will be good to have a friend willing to hold your spot. It also will help pass the time as you wait.
  • Have fun! Like I said, thousands are auditioning, so try not to stress it. Just have a good time and try and learn as much as you can from the experience.
