When I received an invite a few weeks ago to attend the Macy’s semi-annual Men’s Style Event in New York I was super excited because men’s fashion is not something I know a lot about and I would love to be inspired! Unfortunately with Kris’s busy medical school schedule we were unable to make it up to NYC this coming Thursday though, the event is at Macy’s Herald Square in NYC on Nov. 5 at 6pm for any of you who might be able to make it. Not going did not stop me from exploring all the new designer looks they have to offer for men though, which inspired me to put together this style guide for mens fashion winter 2015. It is a good mix of affordable and more pricey items, I tend to look for more expensive shoes because I want them to last and then I save by buying more affordable tops for example. Macy’s has a great selection for every budget so if you are shopping for your man this season I would definitely recommend heading to this free event to take advantage of food, music, a GQ Photobooth and great discounts including 25% off $75 or more and a free gift celebrating Frank Sinatra’s 100th birthday when you spend $100 in men’s!

Like I mentioned above I really need to learn more about mens fashion, with Kris’s strenuous schedule he often doesn’t have time for it and it would be nice if I could confidently pick out some new wardrobe items for him now and then. We also have family pictures coming up soon and Macy’s has a lot of great options for that. I have been browsing some of the designer brands that will be featured in the event like INC, Buffalo Jeans and Michael Kors to get some inspiration and already have a huge wish-list of things I want to get for Kris (only a few of them made it onto the board because there just wasn’t room for all the love!!). So far in our almost four years of marriage Kris has not let me buy him clothes… LOL, but with these new styles I am discovering at Macy’s I am hoping I can change his mind.

I so wish we could make it to the Macy’s Style Event, but I will have to content myself to online shopping… I love New York and just know the event will be a blast! If you are planning to attend visit this link for more information and to get your complimentary tickets. If you love shopping for your man (or if you are a man) you should definitely go (and take some pictures for me so I can be jealous). xoxoxox, rach
