Wow! This time is flying by. I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that in THREE MONTHS I will be a mother of two… With Zoey I never bought maternity style clothes, I just sized up for tops and luckily carried her really high so I was able to continue wearing the same jeans. With this baby I have gained less weight, but I am carrying him so low that my jeans are not an option and I am realizing just why people go for maternity style clothes, they are SO dang comfortable… I have been having so much fun styling my bump lately and taking advantage of this unique time of life where I get to dress and look different than I ever normally do. I actually have quite a few of my favorite maternity outfits coming up for you so this is the first of many.

In the past I have always been one to by cheap clothes that don’t last long rather than spending a little bit more for something of higher quality that will last me years to come. I recently discovered the idea of ‘capsule wardrobes’ though and have become obsessed with the idea of buying only a few, high quality, timeless pieces that will last through trends and wear without loosing their beauty. These maternity style yoga pants are DEFINITELY on the list. I pulled them down so you could see my bump in this picture, but they have a ruched, high waist band that covers your whole belly and feels like a dream. The material of the leggings is puppy soft…

The Le Beau top is actually not a maternity style, but I ordered the XS and it still came down below my waist, even with my big bump. It fit loose and comfy and I am in love. Plus I feel like the phrase ‘Role Model’ on a tee somehow suits the maternity phase. Not that I assume I am awesome enough to be a role model to anyone, it is just one of my goals to be that for my babes and I think most moms feel the same way.

So this is the most comfortable outfit I have worn to date – other than my birthday suit – and it is definitely one I would wear after baby as well. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!

xoxox,

Rachael
