Orlando Day 2: Disney World iPhone Journal

We spent ALL day Saturday at the Magic Kingdom (one of the parks in Disney World that is basically identical to Disney Land). We left our hotel at about 8:30AM and didn’t get back till midnight! We only had one day at the park so we decided to make the most of it. My feet hurt SO bad by the end of the day, but it was so worth it.

We rode almost every single ride (other than the Seven Dwarves which was always a 2hr+ wait). We were looking at different parks in Disney World before we came because we wanted to just choose one and The Magic Kingdom was a good choice because Zander could ride almost every ride. We only took pictures with our iPhones because we wanted to pack light and run around without wasting anytime taking the camera in and out of the bag. So rather than writing all about our day here I will write captions under the pictures! I tried to put them in order so scroll through to get a little glimpse of our day.

First thing in the morning, the hotel was out of cribs so I set up this makeshift one with pillows for Zander. We were in a suite so Zoey got her own room, but as soon as she woke up she came and cuddled with Zander (woke him up) and they both watched in the mirror while I did my makeup. I love my little audience.

Not even in the park and I am already capturing every moment. Kris is impressed as you can see by his face. But actually we were both just blinded by the sun and had no idea what the camera was seeing.

When we first walked in to the park we took a video and told her we were in Disney Land to see what her reaction would be. She just was like, “oh.” I asked, “Aren’t you excited???”. Zoey, “yup.” (no enthusiasm in her voice at allllll). Then I asked, “Why aren’t you jumping up and down???” because that is our thing, when we get excited we jump. She did one little obligatory jump hahaha. The most anti climatic moment ever… But when she saw the castle she got so excited and started running towards it squealing ❤️❤️❤️

Zander fell asleep in our arms SO many times in the park. Well, I should say my arms. He naps really well at home if I just lay him in his bed, but since we were out and about I used the boobs to put him to sleep every time he got cranky. It always amazes me how babies fall asleep eating.

Apparently we really didn’t need to bring Zoey to Disney World because at many points in the day she would have happily chosen to go home with a toy or a bug rather then go on the rides… Preferably a bug though.

It was really hot, but sweat is not what is making Zander’s and Zoey’s hair so wet in these pictures. Kris thought the kiddies were too hot and took it upon himself to dump water on their head every hour or so throughout the day. So they looked like super sweaty rag-a-muffins all day long.

We went to lunch in the Beasts castle from Beauty and The Beast. We went to lunch and reserved a few days in advance. Apparently if you want to eat dinner there you have to book SIX MONTHS ahead!

Zoey is OBSESSED with Beauty and The Beast so she loved the castle, especially Lumier. She was mostly curious if he was the ‘normal’ Lumier or the pretend one (normal = real).

I nursed in line a few times, on a ride once, and on many random rocks I found to sit on throughout the park. There were people EVERYWHERE. They do have a baby care room where you can nurse in quiet near the entrance, but no way I was wasting our precious time at the park walking all the way back there ten times in the day. At one point I accidentally sat in front of a clue to a scavenger hunt some tour groups were on. That was slightly awkward when they all came and stood right over me looking at the clue behind my back…

Frozen treats were mandatory by 2pm when we were all sweating to death.

While Kris went on Splash Mountain I sat with the kids and nursed Zander, while Zoey decorated cupcakes on my phone and then insisted we photograph it.

Also the teacups which she begged and begged to go on, but we waited till the end of the day when the line shortened from 45 minutes to 30.

We saw one parade and it happened to be one where they called all the kids into the street to dance with the characters. PERFECT for Zoey!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART OF THE DAY was when we visited Belle in her home. A few kids volunteered to help put on a performance and Zoey was one of them. She was the youngest kid in the ‘production’ and she played Chip. Employees helped her play her part and in the end she got to meet Belle. Kris and I got to be part of the audience. You could see the whole time she was SO proud of herself, she loved being on stage and kept checking to make sure Kris and I were watching her. When she met Belle I CRIED. I know, probably a little dramatic. But it was SO sweet and if there was one thing that Zoey had wanted it was to meet Princess Belle. I know I am biased, but whenever Zoey made an entrance on the stage there was an audible “Awwwww!!!!” from the audience that the other kids didn’t get, because they were older. Sorry to go on about this one, but I was just so proud of her. I am allowed to brag about my own kids though, right?

Princess ‘Arieled’ was the last ride for Zoey (awake) and she loved it! The ride stopped working for a couple minutes while we were sitting right in front of Ariel and so we got to hear her whole song. Zoey loved it!

We brought them on Its a Small World while they were both asleep and then squished both our tiny people into one stroller while I read a couple roller coasters I had missed while I was nursing.

I couldn’t wear my shoes by the end of the day, they just hurt SO bad. But walking back to the car I saw the below sign and wanted to wear them again…
