These pictures are from a couple weeks ago when some friends came up to visit. Harrison, their son, is Zoey’s best friend in the whole wide world. It was his birthday and we had so much fun celebrating with them. We spent a few hours at an amusement park letting the kids go on rides and then we went to the beautiful Presque Isle Park. It was a beautiful day, but I will tell you more about that later. I have SO many more pictures from this day, they couldn’t all fit into one post.

In this post I wanted to talk about one of my favorite past times. SHOPPING. I love shopping, especially online. I also love to save money shopping online. I look for any legitimate excuse to update my wardrobe and right now I have a pretty good one. I am growing a baby. With my last pregnancy I didn’t have to buy maternity clothes right away. This time around my body knew what it was doing, things started changing right away and it has been awhile since anything in my pre-pregnancy wardrobe has fit comfortably.

For me this is the perfect excuse to update my wardrobe, but we are still living on a medical student budget (translation: a very, very tight one). I have to be smart about the way I shop and I am always looking for ways to save money shopping online. I recently came across this tool called that allows you to earn cash back for almost every purchase you make online from major retailers. You can buy anything from shoes, to electronics, to hotel stays and more. Each time you make a purchase through Giving Assistant you get cash back and they send it to you via paypal. You also have the opportunity to donate it to charity. It is free to sign up and 100% of the affiliate commission from your purchase goes straight to you. It is super simple to use if you visit their site. Just in case though I took some screenshots of the whole process to show you just how easy it is.

I could not be more happy with my experience using . The money showed up in my account just a few days after purchase and I didn’t have to do anything outside of the norm, other than visiting Giving Assistant. I always try to shop sales as a way to save money shopping online. This is basically a way for everything to ALWAYS be on sale. It is the best way to save money shopping online.

Side note: the dress I am wearing in this post is a MUST HAVE for pregnancy. You can wear it from the beginning to the end of your pregnancy. I wear it as often as I wash laundry (which is a lot…). I am actually starting to feel embarrassed about the amount of times it has shown up on my Instagram feed. I promise it isn’t the only thing I own, it is just so dang comfortable.

Any other online shopaholics out there??? What do you do to save money shopping online?

What i do is shop winter clothes during the summer as they are always on clearance and or SALE.

  2. This really was one of my favorite days this month! The tips on online saving will come in handy, thanks! I love the Boppy scarf. I didn’t even know they made nursing scarfs.
