Swim suits: Rad Swim

These are some more pictures from our time in Hawaii this summer. While we were there we visited Turtle Bay Resort, my favorite resort in Oahu. It is located right on the most perfect swimming beach but my personal favorite part of the resort is the pool area… Is that bad to prefer a pool to the beach when you are in Hawaii??? I guess it isn’t that I like pools better, it is just that there are SO many beaches that are so amazing, and we would go to them EVERY SINGLE DAY, so when we were at the resort we just wanted to bask in something that was a little more rare in Hawaii. A clean freshwater pool. Actually there are two pools. And two hot tubs. Oh and a waterslide and a kitty pool along with an outdoor restaurant where you can order food right to your lounge chair. Ummmmm… Nothing to complain about here.

It was fun hanging out in the kiddy pool (kitty pool?? I really don’t know which it is) and using Zoey as a good excuse to meet new people. I am naturally more shy and don’t usually just walk up and start talking to random strangers. When Zoey starts waving at someone else’s baby though, or when she walks right up to another kid who is eating and stares at their food like she has never been fed in her life, it is an easy conversation starter. She helps me meet friends I wouldn’t have otherwise.

When we were in the kiddy pool on this particular day we met a girl who had two kids, a 2 year old and the most adorable brand new born and we talked for quite awhile about things to do in Oahu… And everything I mentioned was something free to do, and everything she mentioned was something super expensive. Like we couldn’t afford to do it expensive. And her and her hubby were visiting for some fancy work thing, and we were visiting because we saved every spare penny and somehow scraped together enough to buy a couple plane tickets. Two totally different lives, but we were both experiencing and LOVING Oahu, there is something for everyone in Hawaii, rich or poor.

Speaking of conversation starters – our swimsuits. You wouldn’t believe how many people stop and ask where I got them, and even write down the name so they won’t forget. The swimsuits individually are cute but put them together and seriously everyone was complimenting us (I think it was mostly Zoey they were complimenting… ;)) Seriously, isn’t she just irresistible??? Her smiles never get old.

xoxoxo, rachael

Oh – PS. I forgot to mention that we saw a famous person while we were at Turtle Bay, they were filming the Zac Efron movie “Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates” while we were there, and we randomly passed Adam DeVine while we were walking around the resort grounds. That is the second time I have seen a famous person in Hawaii – first time was when I was 18 and they had the Black Pearl anchored in a harbor near where I lived and me and a bunch of friends went and watched (and screamed) as Johnny Depp boarded the ship and shook hands. I sat on a friends shoulders and got a video of him smiling at me… Ok not at me, but in my direction. I should find that.
