Waldameer Park

We dog sat for a friend in between rides at Waldameer Park. Zoey wanted to take little Bizmark home so bad…🐶💕

She got a little nervous when we got on the ferris wheel, but a little reassurance and she was good to go. Also look at that cute little belly button ☺️❤️

She kept informing me which rides she was ‘too little and tiny’ for ☺️.

I absolutely love how many fun outdoor activities there are during the summer! We just spent the most fun day as a family at Waldameer Park, we were all sweating the whole time because it was SO hot out, but it was totally worth it. I didn’t think there would be, but there were a ton of rides that Zoey could go on. She is about 33″ tall and the cutoff for a lot of the kid rides was 30″ so that was PERFECT. I also thought she would be too scared to ride by herself, but she wasn’t. She went on ride after ride after ride, waving to us and smiling and laughing the whole time.

I technically can ride most the rides because my stomach isn’t that big yet, but it is not recommended to go on rides that lurch or jerk or drop you during pregnancy, not to mention my nausea gets worse just turning sharp corners in the car, so I probably wouldn’t enjoy a roller coaster much😂. I went on the Ferris Wheel though which was a lot of fun. Surprisingly that was the only ride that scared Zoey. I didn’t even think twice about it, but as soon as we sat down in our gondola she started crying. We told her it was totally safe and she calmed down really quick and was happy as soon as we started moving around the wheel. I couldn’t resist capturing the cute little pouty face she had while she cuddled her daddy right when we got on tho…🙈

We were dog sitting for a friend as well so before we went to the park we stopped and played with him for a little bit. Zoey did NOT want to leave, she loves dogs so much and this one is so good at playing with her. They played tug of war over his toys for awhile and Zoey just shrieked and laughed in pure happiness the whole time. I always feel like a dog would be too much work for me to take care of in this stage of life, but whenever I see how happy Zoey gets I change my mind. There is literally nothing that makes her smile more genuinely than a playful little puppy pal.

The only way we got Zoey to say goodbye was we told her we were going to go to the rides at Waldameer Park, and when we left the park we convinced her by telling her we were going to see the dog again. When we had to say goodbye to the dog for the second time to go home for Zoey’s nap time there were a LOT of tears… The whole day got me puppy hungry and I have been looking around online and decided I want a Havanese Bichon. They are just so cute and cuddly and apparently great with kids. Anyone want to buy me one??? 😜
