What I Think About Erie

Those who spend enough time around me know that I love doing mommy and me outfits with Zoey. I think it is cute – but the real reason I do it is for Zoey’s reaction. It makes my heart melt a lot when she says, “Look mommy! I look like a princess just like you!” She gets so excited about it. She often will run into the closet when I am getting dressed and try and find something for me that matches her. Even if it’s just the same color. She get’s so happy and dances around! And always wants to show off our look to Kris.

These pics are from two weeks ago when the weather falsely made us feel like spring was coming. It was literally t-shirt weather outside for a day or so! Which shocked me considering everyone I talked to about moving to Erie told me we were going to HATE the winters. The snow was just playing tricks on us and came back full force a few days later, but the winter really hasn’t been too bad.

I will admit there have been a few days that I have harbored hate towards this weather. Like when my face feels like an ice cube (or ice oval??) by the time I get from my car to the grocery store. Or when I’m about to go to a doctors appointment and there is a car accident (minor) in my driveway that prevents me. Or especially when I look at pictures from the summer… But mostly it is really fun to look out the window and watch the snow billow down in huge clouds and pile up on our deck! It really is so beautiful, and so far the winter feels like it is going by fast!

I could never say I like winter more than summer. Sunshine is unbeatable. But I do like the change new seasons bring. And I LOVE Erie, despite 10000000 predictions that I would hate it from every person I talked to before moving here!
