It seems like just yesterday I was getting all ready for Zoey to be born. It is hard to believe she is now almost two and I am starting to think of ideas for her birthday party. I thought it would be fun to draw some inspiration from her baby shower which was a yellow and gray themed baby shower. My mom and sister helped me plan it and we centered all the decorations around sweets that were lemon or banana flavored.
It was funny since we put so much effort into decorating and making everything look beautiful and perfect, and I took pictures of all the decorations, and then during the baby shower we completely forgot to photograph anything! I was sad because I had a massive pile of gifts that took FOREVER to open, and I wanted Zoey to be able to see that and know how excited people were for her coming.
I didn’t really do anything other than bake a cake for Zoey’s first birthday, so this birthday I am determined to make up for that and go all out. Her birthday is more than a month away and I already have presents piling up in the top of my closet that I can’t wait to wrap up. I am still debating whether or not I will do a friend party or just do something with Kris, Z and I. Zoey gets kind of overwhelmed when there are a lot of people around and I want this to be all about her and not stressful for her… Still haven’t really made up my mind though because I think she would have fun if some of her close buddies were there.
