We are getting all ready for Halloween over here! Last year I dressed Zoey up and carried her around trunk-or-treating at our church Halloween party, but honestly she had no idea what was going on. This year she will definitely know what is going on and will be in kid heaven with all the candy. I wanted to make the first Halloween that she would actually enjoy really special, so I have spent the past month searching for the perfect miniature sized costume for my baby girl.
She has just started to like dressing up so I wanted to find her a fun costume that she would recognize. Costume SuperCenter has a great variety of disney character and popular cartoon costumes so I started there. It was a debate between a Doc McStuffins costume and one of the Frozen costumes. It was a hard choice but I ended up going with the Elsa costume because Zoey is more familiar with Frozen, and because I just love the look of this little gown – especially in toddler size. I have had a really hard time finding toddler size costumes in stores, but the Costume SuperCenter has literally hundreds of choices in toddler sizes.
I am thinking I will add a long sleeve, warm white shirt underneath and the dress is long enough that she could wear some cozy pants and boots as well. I am guessing the weather will have cooled down a bit by the end of the month so I was happy to find something that will keep her warm while she trick-or-treats. I am glad I bought it early too since Zoey has had so much fun wearing it and playing dress up these past few weeks. She calls it her ‘Let It Go’ and wants to wear it all the time.
What are you planning on dressing up as for Halloween??? I still have to come up with a costume for myself and so I would love to hear what you are all thinking!
