Zoey’s birthday was SO much fun. Planning a party is always a little stressful for me, but Zoey had been begging to have her “best friends come for her birthday party with cake and presents” for months… I couldn’t say no, plus my mom was in town and helped plan and put together the whole thing! It is so hard for me to believe I have a three year old… The time has flown by SO fast. Lately I can’t believe how grown up she is. She talks so well, it still surprises me every time she comes up with intelligent and creative sentences. It seems like she should still just be making weird baby noises and saying mama and dada. Looking back at pictures of her even from the beginning of this year I can see how much she has changed. She has lost a lot of that baby face looks and really seems like a toddler to me now. She feels so big and tall when I pick her up compared to Zander. Although in reality she is still quite tiny for her age. She fits lots of 18month to 2t clothes and only weighs 27lbs! Still she has thinned out and gotten a lot taller these past six months.
Her favorite things to do right now include shopping at the mall, walking around the zoo, petting dogs, crafts, reading stories and ‘making recipes’ with me in the kitchen. Anytime she gets excited she says to me, “Hey mommy, I really love you!” She loves holding her baby brother and giving him kisses and cuddles. She also loves helping change his poopy diapers, something I am sure she will grow out of… haha. She thinks every kid she plays with is her ‘best friend’ and would play with friends all day every day if I let her. She knows almost all her letters and the sounds they make. Anytime her daddy tells her to do something she double checks with me to see if she really has to, she knows who the real boss is;). She demands a ‘normal kiss and hug’ every night before bed – she likes it when we kiss attack/tickle her when we tuck her in, but it has to end with a nice kiss and cuddle before we close the door. Just a few things about her at three years old.
She has my heart!
Thanks to all the people who came and made her party so much fun. She will not forget it anytime soon.
