5 Hair Hacks You Can’t Live Without

As a full time work from home mom of two, easy hair hacks are essential to my daily life. Below are my top five hair hacks that will save you time and help you look amazing in the process!

1. The Perfect Easy Messy Bun

Use a couple strands of clip in extensions to make your messy bun big and beautiful. Clip down the front section of your hair, grab a small bunch on top of your head where you want the bun to be, clip down the rest of your hair besides that chunk, hang your head upside down and wrap the clip in extensions around that small chunk of hair and securely clip them to your hair, unclip the rest of your hair and tie it all up in a beautiful, voluminous bun!

2. Five Minute Beach Curls

Divide your hair into four sections, curl the bottom half of each section. Curl a few of the top pieces of your hair. Done. Most your hair will be straight, but with the ends and just a few top pieces curled it gives the illusion of curls everywhere!

3. Five Minute Stand Out Hair Style

Use a few bobby pins to create a triangle to hold your hair half up for a very chic, stylish and easy hair do.

4. Give Your Hair More Body

For a more full bodied look skip the part in your hair and brush it back directly after taking a shower. As your hair drys it will fall to the sides again but will hold a lot more body than if you brush your natural part into it when it is wet.

5. Use In Shower Lightening Shampoo To Give Your Hair Natural Highlights

My favorite of all the hair hacks! Use in shower lightening shampoo to give your hair natural looking highlights without taking any extra time out of your normal routine. I use Sheer Blonde Go Blonder shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis and their in shower lightening treatment every couple months.

  1. Love the tips, especially about the hairspray in bobby pins..so easy! Why have I never thought of that!! I personally love a good messy bun – this is a great tutorial! [client]

  2. Well, for me the coloring your hair blonde really would not work but Lorraine is going to try it. The way you described it seems so easy. Heh, I wonder if I had a dog with back hair and took him into the shower with me if i could change his hair color. Ha ha

    1. Haha well I am not sure why you would need to dye a dogs hair but that is an interesting idea… It works but the smell would probably bug grandma since she is sensitive to fragrance.

  3. I dyed my hair really brown and am starting to miss my blonde already. I’m totally going to try this out. Hopefully Steve won’t mind since I just coloured it a couple months ago haha 😉
