I am visiting Saltspring Island on the west coast of Canada while I write this post! We are at Kris’s moms house and Zoey has been having the best time. Every time we go out for groceries or anything else she says, “Are we going back to Erie!?!?! I want to stay at grandmas!”. Her cousin Noelle lives here and she is just one year older than Zoey. They haven’t seen each other in years, but they immediately were best friends when we arrived.
Since the time difference is three hours behind here Zander and Zoey have been waking up before the cousins and the grandparents. Kris has been taking the night shift with Zander – he wakes up at least once a night when he is teething… So I get early mornings chasing the kids around at around 5am. Sleeping in a bed I am not used to, combined with going to bed late and getting up at 5am, has reminded me of how sore my muscles get sometimes. Especially since becoming a mom. That is exactly why I have written several times about how I incorporate collagen into my diet. Collagen is an important supplement that can help strengthen your bones and muscles.
While the kids are running around in the morning I like to make myself a quick smoothie. It is a fast way to get healthy food into me and my kiddies. I love the banana, strawberry, spinach and almond milk combo. Recently I have been mixing Bone Broth Protein into my smoothie as well. It has a delicious vanilla flavor and it contains type I & III collagen. It is also certified paleo & keto-friendly, easy to digest, has no artificial ingredients and is free of GMOs, gluten, & dairy!! I like my Bone Broth in vanilla flavor just because it is perfect for smoothies, but Bone Broth Protein from Sports Research is also available in chocolate, or natural broth flavor.
If I don’t get a chance to make myself a smoothie in the morning I can mix the natural broth flavor into a bunch of different dinner recipes. I love that Bone Broth is not only benefiting my body, but also is a tasty addition to my daily diet. Bone Broth is well known to be an important part of a healthy diet, especially for those who prioritize staying active and fit. But for me the need for Bone Broth has a lot to do with being a mom. Getting enough collagen in my diet is an essential part of my post baby routine. Being a mama to two little ones is physically exhausting and I use all the extra help I can get.
Once we leave Saltspring Is. Kris will be heading straight to New York, and then Ohio. I will have the kids to myself for a week. During the time I have to pack three weeks worth of stuff into our car for our trip to New York. We will head to New York as a family as soon as Kris gets back from Ohio. Since we are going to be in a hotel for almost a month I am bringing a good supply of Bone Broth to get me through three weeks in a single hotel room with my babes!
I am also thinking of buying a supply of the chocolate flavor when we get back from New York to wrap up and put under the tree for Kris for Christmas. Kris is so difficult to find gifts for, but this is one thing I think he would really love to add to his morning smoothies. He is always on his feet and complaining of sore muscles! He definitely deserves some tasty chocolate Bone Broth 😉
Is Bone Broth part of your daily routine?
