Girl Boy Nursery Tour + Mamaroo Giveaway

I know, I know… I’ve been sharing too much nursery and baby stuff lately. What can I say, it is kind of on my mind right now. I do have a really exciting news though, I am giving away THE MAMAROO on Instagram today – in case you haven’t heard the buzz, it is only the most amazing baby bouncer/rocker/infant seat on the planet. Today I am also sharing my boy and girl nursery design tour. I decided awhile back that I wanted to put Zoey and the new babe in the same room and it has been a bit of a challenge making the design cohesive. It is all coming together though. I went with mint, coral and white for my color scheme. It is all tied together with gray accents. Like my Lorena Canals rug – my favorite addition to the boy and girl nursery design… Zoey is convinced it is a picture of her and ‘baby brother’ which I love!

That is the boy and girl nursery design so far! We originally moved into a four bedroom apartment specifically so the new baby could have his own room and I could still have an office/studio. The more I thought about it though the more I wanted them in the same room. Sharing a room with my siblings always made us closer growing up! He will be in our room for the first few months, but then they will be together. I am excited and nervous for the transition.

The room that was going to be the nursery is HUGE and has become the perfect office/school/craft/play/media room for Zoey and I. It has a cute little nook for Zoey’s craft and school table, a nook for my desk and office space and the main area is the TV and sofa. The bonus room is in the basement so it is perfect for my singing studio (out of earshot when Zoey is sleeping) and it also doubles as Kris’s office when he is at home studying. Which is a lot less often now that he is working in the hospital!! Basically our house feels so functional right now, especially now that the nursery is designed. I love love LOVE having an organized, functional home.
