Exciting news!! Yesterday while I was shopping at Old Navy I saved $30 on a $75 order. No rewards, no saved points, no email sign up. No minimum order!! Nothing. And you can save that too. I will tell you how a little further down, but first let me share why I was online shopping tonight. The reason is kind of sad. Devastating actually… My baby is growing up!! Zander is outgrowing EVERYTHING…
It seems like yesterday he was a newborn. And then today he walked into the kitchen, yelled at me till he got my attention, and then motioned for me to follow him. He kept looking back to make sure I was following. We made it to the TV room and then he bounced up and down pointing at the TV because his favorite movie was on, Trolls. He had to show me. He wanted to dance to it, and I had to dance too. I was not allowed to leave according to him.
How do I have a baby that is grown up enough to demand I dance with him, and grown up enough to have a favorite movie?! How did my cuddly, sleepy, bundle of softness turn into a toddling, troll loving, bouncing little human?? Childhood should be at least twice as long as it is. At least. I feel like I only get half my fill of special moments with these little people every day.
Anyways, let me get back on topic here! What are evenings for after the kids go to bed? Online shopping. Obviously. A trip to the mall used to be easy. But with two babies, there is nothing more appealing than getting cozy, flipping on my favorite show, and clothes shopping from the comfort of my own couch. Zander needs some new boots because he has outgrown all his shoes. So I was searching online for some boots on some of my favorite sites just last night.
You wouldn’t believe how much money I spend on kids clothes. They grow so fast, it is hard to keep up. So when I do my online shopping I am always looking for deals. It is amazing how quickly things can add up when I am shopping my favorite brands. Especially since I always make sure I have something in the box for me too. I am paying the price, I deserve something in the package to be for me, right? I have an Old Navy weakness, and an endless stream of Zappos boxes at my door. Before I click checkout I always do a quick search for promo codes on google. Usually I don’t find much, but I figure it is worth searching just in case.
Tonight while I was doing my online shopping I remembered an article I had read here about searching for single use coupon codes. I decided to give it a try. The first site I found for single use coupon codes was Dealspotr. When I visited Dealspotr I immediately realized they had codes for all my favorite sites. Forever 21, ASOS, Free People, Old Navy and sooooo many more. I was shopping on Old Navy so I headed straight to Dealspotr’s Old Navy deals page. Most deal sites share coupons that are limited by product type, purchase amount, sale items, etc. But I noticed an option on Dealspotr to view only site wide codes.
I was happily surprised to find a huge variety of single use coupon codes for 15-30% off. When I saw a 30% off code I couldn’t resist clicking. 30% is a LOT of savings, especially when you were planning to pay full price. I didn’t want to hope to hard, because more often than not deal sites don’t work for me if the code is over 10%. But I was happily surprised. It worked!! The fact that Dealspotr users individually check each and every promo code that is posted on the site really pays off (literally$$$).
I saved $30 on my $75 order!! I had $10 in rewards on my Old Navy Account and shipping was free. So basically I ended up paying $35 for $75 worth of clothes from Old Navy, including two pairs of the most adorable boots for Zander! He better not grow out of them anytime soon…
How to Save on Dealspotr
1. Go to Dealspotr.com to find deals.
3. Look on the left hand side of the page to select what type of deal you are looking for. You can choose promo codes, site-wide only, free shipping and sales. I like the site-wide only option since you can find personal, single use coupon codes that are typically higher than deals available to everyone.
4. Find a code and enter it in the promo code box during your regular check out on the site you were shopping on.
Thats it! I had to share after how much money I saved yesterday. Kids grow so fast and I know I am not the only one who is constantly online shopping and looking out for deals.
Where is your favorite online place to shop? Do you search for promo codes before checking out??
