If you are interested in what the fourth of July looks like when you have an extended family the size of mine then here is a little peek. I have 50+ cousins on my moms side… I have lost count honestly. We were lucky enough to have quite a lot of them in town for Fourth of July. After the food we went to a reservation where it was legal to set off your own fireworks and blasted them late into the night. It was literal chaos with all the families around us blowing off their own fireworks, I am not joking when I say it felt like we were in the middle of a war zone. Fireworks sound a lot different when you are the one blowing them off. On the drive home we sang “I’m proud to be an American!” at the top of our lungs, we had lots of Canadians in the car but Kris didn’t let anyone out of the car until they sang along. A day to remember for sure. XOXO
