Transitional Maternity Style for Fall 2016 by Rachael Burgess

Windy Weather New Sweater

We have lived in Erie for a few months now and have been to Presque Isle Park SO many times, but we are still discovering new places in it. This beautiful peninsula has miles of sandy beaches, hikes, ponds and marshes for canoeing, lighthouses and so much more. Yesterday we discovered this lighthouse that was a twenty five minute drive into the park, so worth it though! It was at the end of a long cement wharf. The windy weather made me glad I brought a sweater for the first time since summer.

The sweater I am wearing is another from Evy’s Tree and it is the perfect transitional maternity style! The Sophie in Jewel hit the shelf for the first time just half hour ago and I doubt it will last long. It is light, but warm enough to be worn throughout the fall season. The flattering empire waistline is just perfect on a bump, but it is also one of my favorite styles when I am not pregnant. My favorite part is the deep blue jewel tone and the velvet lined hood. It is just so cozy and feels like the perfect statement cardigan to welcome fall.

I talked all about transitional maternity style for fall in this post. So head over there to read more about what styles to look for when you are just about to give birth at the beginning of a new season and don’t want to buy a whole new wardrobe.

After the wharf and the lighthouse we headed down to Beach 11, it was a more protected area so it was a lot warmer than out on the wharf. Zoey stripped down to her undies and went for a swim. She went in all the way up to her neck. The water felt warm enough to me, but I was still impressed. She has an adventurous spirit and just LOVES the water. Over all it was a beautiful Sunday afternoon! I love family days… 💗
